How Lux218 Began
5 years ago, we noticed a gap
Scott and I both spent years in medical sales — careers we loved, but ones that left us itching to create something with our own hands. About five years ago we started buying properties, flipping them, and building a small rental portfolio. We kept gravitating toward the higher-end fixtures: the freestanding tub. The statement chandelier. The custom cabinets that turn a kitchen from "renovated" into a room you can't stop walking into.
What we kept hearing — from neighbors, from contractors, from people who stopped by our flips — was the same thing: "I'd love finishes like this, but I assumed I couldn't afford them." That was the moment Lux218 made sense. A showroom where luxury kitchens and baths weren't gatekept by big-city pricing. Curated finishes, concierge service, and a team that could actually install what they sold — right here in Central Kentucky.
We opened the doors in Danville with a simple idea: bring the finer things within reach, and treat every project — large or small — like it's the home we're living in next. Today we serve homeowners, builders, and designers across Central Kentucky — from Lexington and Nicholasville to Versailles, Lawrenceburg, Frankfort, and beyond.

Lily Bell: Founder & Lead Designer
I've loved fashion and design since I was a kid — friends used to tell me I was "extra," and honestly, they weren't wrong. I just couldn't help noticing the way a finish, a fixture, or a light cast over a space could change how it made you feel. At Lux218, I lead design, curate everything in our showroom, and walk every client through finish selections — making sure each detail works together so the finished room feels intentional, layered, and unmistakably yours.
Scott Bell: Founder & Construction Lead
Scott has always been the guy who can fix or build anything — and his attention to detail is unmatched. Whether it's a simple powder room refresh or a full luxury home build, he treats every project with the same meticulous care. He leads Lux218 Construction & Renovation, manages our build team, and personally walks every site to make sure tile lines are crisp, trim is perfect, and the work meets the standard we'd expect in our own home.

Everyone we hire brings the same level of care we do — because nothing matters more to us than the integrity of the finished space. We're not the biggest showroom in Central Kentucky, and we don't try to be.
